In the quest for a playoff spot, it doesn't hurt if other results help. After three consecutive underdog wins, the Green Bay Packers will have the second easiest remaining schedule in the NFL, but it's still worth watching how the other teams in contention for an NFC wild card spot will do in week 14.

This is your weekly Packers fan guide.

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears, 12pm CT

The Packers go to playoffs in 72% of the simulations in which the Lions win this one, and 70% with the Bears winning. This game wasn't expected to have as big of an impact, even as an NFC North matchup. However, the Bears are technically still in the wild card race. So, for the Packers, it's better if the Lions win and run away with it.

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints, 12pm CT

The Saints are still in the hunt and have the easiest remaining schedule by DVOA. That starts this week, against a bad Panthers team. If Carolina wins, the Packers have a 72% chance of making the playoffs, against a 71% chance if New Orleans confirms the prognosis.

Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens, 12pm CT

This is the most important Sunday game for Packers fans, as it's a 9 percentage-point swing. If the Ravens win, the Packers go to a 73% chance of reaching the postseason, versus a 64% chance if the Rams pull off the upset. Right now, the Rams seem to be the biggest contender, so an unexpected win for them would not be good news for Green Bay.

Minnesota Vikings at Las Vegas Raiders, 3:05pm CT

It's a big swing game here as well: 74% chance if the Raiders win, 69% chance if the Vikings win. Minnesota is theoretically the better team, but the situation is less clear without Kirk Cousins. The Vikings are a big contender for a wild card spot, so a Raiders win would be extremely helpful.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers, 3:05pm CT

That's a big one. As the Packers do, the Seahawks have a 6-6 record, but a much harder schedule moving forward. And the first example is on Sunday, against the NFC West rivals 49ers. The Packers have a 72% chance if San Francisco wins, and 65% chance if Seattle pulls the upset.

Draft picks

These two games don't affect the Packers playoff chances in meaningful ways, but Packers fans will certainly root for the Texans and the Chiefs here, as the Packers own the Jets' second-rounder and the Bills' third-rounder in next year's draft.

Houston Texans at New York Jets, 12pm CT

The Packers won't receive the Jets' first-rounder because quarterback Aaron Rodgers won't get to play at least 65% of the team's offensive snaps. However, it will still be a pretty valuable pick. Right now, Green Bay would get the 37th overall pick, the fifth pick of the second round. The Jets will have Zach Wilson back at quarterback, and the more they lose, the better for Green Bay.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs, 3:25pm CT

It was something unimaginable when the Rasul Douglas trade happened, but right now the original Bills third-rounder is higher than the Packers' one. And it can get better, because Buffalo has one of the hardest remaining schedules. At the moment, the Packers are receiving the 80th overall pick, the 16th pick of the third round.
