The Green Bay Packers have one more preseason before final roster cuts, which ramps up the stakes for Saturday's contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
This will be the last chance for bubble players to show that they are worthy of a roster spot on the 53-man roster. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur did say the starters -on both sides of the ball- will play Saturday and that it'll be a gut feeling when it comes to how long they play.
Regardless, Saturday is a big opportunity for everyone, especially since it's a noon (CT) game, as LaFleur also noted earlier in the week.

Can Rudy Ford hold on to the starting safety job?
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur pretty much said on Thursday that the starting safety job opposite Darnell Savage is Ford's to lose. He has to have a good game on Saturday night if he wants to be on the field for the first defensive snap in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.
"He's done a nice job," LaFleur told reporters. "I think he's going out there and executing his responsibility and he's playing physical. [He is] trusting in what he's seeing and playing fast, and he's done a really nice job. Communication is a big part of that position – making sure that everybody's on the same page. And I think he's handled that pretty well. So hopefully, he can put together another good practice today and then go out there and compete in the game at a high level."
It'll be interesting to see if Tarvarius Moore and Anthony Johnson Jr., some of Ford's main competition, play. Both guys are nursing knee injuries. If they don't go, that obviously bodes better for Ford.
Can Malik Heath lock up the WR6 job?
Heath is certainly the frontrunner for the WR6 job, he just needs to play more on special teams in order to show that he can handle that side of things. He's played a grand total of seven ST snaps through the first two games of the preseason.
Fortunately, LaFleur and co. plan on doing just that.
"I love his competitive spirit. I love how he goes out there and competes, whether it's in the run game [or] it's in the pass game," LaFleur told reporters Tuesday. "And certainly, we've got to give him more of an opportunity to showcase what he can do on teams. Because, as a young player in this league, many times that's how you get your first crack at it – to build that trust from your teammates [and] from your coaches to go in there and handle more responsibility. But I think in a short period of time, he's done a nice job, but you can never rest easy in this league. You can't you can't take a breath for one second. You got to keep pushing.
"And that's our job to, is to continue to push him. He's still a very young player and he's got a lot to learn, but I think up to this point, he's done a pretty nice job."
The opportunity for Heath to make the roster is there – he's just gotta go snatch it on Saturday.
3 players to watch (that aren't Jordan Love or Anders Carlson)
- WR Grant DuBose: He was on this list last week. The seventh-round rookie still has a shot to take the WR6 job from Heath with a big performance on Saturday. He could also force the Packers to carry seven receivers, but his best shot at making the team is beating out Heath.
- DB Innis Gaines: Gaines returned to practice on Wednesday and with Eric Stokes likely starting the year on PUP, he has a good chance to make the 53 because of his ability to play nickel.
- DL Jonathan Ford: The Packers need another true nose tackle behind T.J. Slaton, which opens the door for the Ford not named Rudy to win a job like he did last year.
