The Green Bay Packers inactive list is probably the most predictable we've had this season. There weren't many doubts ahead of the huge San Francisco 49ers game, and defensive tackle Colby Wooden was the only player listed as questionable.

After all, the second-year player is active. Wooden practiced the entire week after missing the Chicago Bears game because of a shoulder injury. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but practiced at full on Friday, a good early indication that he would be good to go.

The Packers have a comfortable interior of the defensive line depth — Kenny Clark, TJ Slaton, Devonte Wyatt, and Karl Brooks are also active. Safety Kitan Oladapo and center Jacob Monk are the healthy scratches.

Packers inactives:

  • CB Jaire Alexander
  • S Kitan Oladapo
  • LB Edgerrin Cooper
  • OL Jacob Monk

Problems

The injury issues for the Packers are not new. Cornerback Jaire Alexander and off-ball linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, who are officially inactive, had already been ruled out on Friday when the Packers released their final injury report.

Alexander has a knee injury. He was active against the Bears, but played on a snapcount and aggravated the PCL injury he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars four weeks ago.

Cooper suffered a hamstring injury during pratice on Wednesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur there is concern for Thursday, because it's a short week before the Miami Dolphins game, but it's not a long-term issue for Cooper.

Other side

The Packers can't complain much about injuries looking at how bad things are for the 49ers. Quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder) and edge rusher Nick Bosa (hip/oblique) are the most impactful absences, but it goes well beyond that.

This is the list of players who are inactive or on injury reserve: Brandon Aiyuk, Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa, Dre Greenlaw, Javon Hargrave, Charvarius Ward, Talaona Hufanga, Kevin Givins, Eli Mitchell, Curtis Robinson, Tatum Bethune, Jon Feliciano, Jacob Cowing, Darrell Luter, Mitch Wishnowsky, Ambry Thomas, and Drake Jackson.

Left tackle Trent Williams, who was listed as questionable, is also out.
