The Green Bay Packers had a relief moment right before the Thanksgiving game against the Miami Dolphins. Center Josh Myers, who had been listed as questionable to play because of a pectoral injury, is officially active and good to go.
The piece of news is particularly important because the Packers' primary interior offensive lineman depth piece is first-round rookie Jordan Morgan, who is on injured reserve.
Myers had been listed as limited on Monday and Tuesday, but as a full participant on Wednesday, which was a good indication about his playing status.
Therefore, the Packers' offensive line will have Rasheed Walker, Elgton Jenkins, Josh Myers, Sean Rhyan, and Zach Tom.
More good pieces of news
Isaiah McDuffie is officially active as well. The off-ball linebacker would have missed practice (via estimation) with an ankle injury on Monday and Tuesday, but was limited on Wednesday.
His presence is important this week because Edgerrin Cooper is out with a hamstring injury and the Minnesota Vikings signed Jamin Davis off the Packers' practice squad on Tuesday.
Besides McDuffie, the Packers only have Quay Walker, Eric Wilson, and rookie third-round pick Ty'Ron Hopper at the off-ball linebacker position.
Tight end/fullback hybrid John FitzPatrick is good to go, too. FitzPatrick was listed as DNP on Monday and Tuesday, but limited on Wednesday, and is healthy enough to be on the field.
He was signed off the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad when Luke Musgrave went on injured reserve and played a season-high 14 offensive snaps against the San Francisco 49ers.
Musgrave is still on IR, so the Packers' options at tight end beyond FitzPatrick are the starter Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims.
The three injury absences are the players who had been ruled out on Friday — Jaire Alexander, Edgerrin Cooper, and Romeo Doubs. The only healthy scratch is center Jacob Monk.
