Another Green Bay Packers practice squad player has been signed by another team. Now, the Chicago Bears have signed defensive tackle Jonathan Ford to their 53-man roster from the Packers' PS.

Even though Ford had been with the Packers since being a seventh-round pick in 2022, he never played a regular season down for the team.

Ford spent his entire rookie season on the 53-man roster, but was inactive for every game. Last year, he spent the entire season on the practice squad.

This season was slightly more agitated for the defensive lineman. He started the regular season on injured reserve and was activated on October 21. However, the Packers never intended to use him much, so he was waived, went unclaimed, and signed back with the Packers' practice squad.

Now, he will finally have an opportunity to play, and it's for an NFC North rival.

Jonathan Ford is a big defensive tackle. At 6-5, 338 pounds, he’s perceived as a run stopper.

With the open practice squad spot, the Packers signed edge defender Jeremiah Martin.
