If there's one thing the Green Bay Packers have learned about general manager Brian Gutekunst, it's that he's a top tier evaluator of offensive linemen.

It seems the Packers have hit on yet another young offensive lineman as the team continues to build a much needed stable up-front. And it's proven to be worth the investment.

This season, the Packers have been without their top two offensive linemen for multiple games. Despite the key absences, Pro Football Focus have moved the Green Bay Packers up to being the number one offensive line unit in the entire league, based on their weekly rankings.

It's some major praise, as the Packers rise up two spots from the week before, and it's a testament to Gutekunst's drafting tendencies. Pro Football Focus made sure to shout out right tackle Zach Tom who has continued to not allow a sack or quarterback hit through three games this season.

Second-year tackle Rasheed Walker received some kind words as well as he played in place of the injured left tackle David Bakhtiari. The Packers 2022 seventh-round selection has allowed just one pressure on 55 drop backs, according to PFF.

The rankings also graded the entire unit with a pass-blocking efficiency rating of 93.9, the highest in the NFL after the first three weeks. Here's how each player on the Packers offensive line has graded out in pass blocking this season.

OT David Bakhtiari- 89.9 (only appeared in Week 1)
OL Elgton Jenkins- 57.4 (missed Week 3 due to injury)
OT Zach Tom- 79.7
OT Rasheed Walker- 78.5
RG Jon Runyan- 69.2
LG Royce Newman- 61.3
C Josh Meyers- 69.6

The Packers have continued to be cautious with Bakhtiari, the team's All-Pro left tackle, as expected this season. Jenkins, the Packers two-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman, sprained his MCL against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 and was inactive for the comeback victory this past weekend.

It'll be worth watching to see if both players suit up against the Detroit Lions on Thursday with the short week. However, the unit has seemed to hold up just fine in their absence. If Packers head coach Matt LaFleur elects not to trot out Bakhtiari and Jenkins yet again, the two will have plenty of time get ready for their return in the days ahead.

Thursday will be a key divisional matchup for the Packers, who will have the opportunity to start 2-0 in the NFC North and push their overall record to 3-1 on the season.
