The only Green Bay Packers' starter slated to hit free agency in March is center Josh Myers. And right before testing the market, the offensive lineman has received a positive injury update.

On Sunday, Myers left the Philadelphia Eagles game early with what looked to be a significant leg injury. However, tests didn't show any type of damage.

According to ESPN's insider Jeremy Fowler, Josh Myers has swelling, but otherwise is good. It's excellent news for him, because a significant injury would certainly affect his value.

Packers' future

Josh Myers was a second-round pick by the Packers in 2021 and started at center from day one. He missed 11 games as a rookie because of a knee injury, but otherwise has been remarkably healthy. In four seasons, he has started 56 games.

Throughout his NFL career, Myers had ups and downs and suffered with comparisons to Creed Humphrey, who was drafted after him and became an All-Pro center for the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2024, Myers had the worst run-blocking grade of his career by PFF, but improved compared to last year in pass block grade.

If Myers doesn't return, the Packers' plan to replace him will probably include moving Elgton Jenkins or Sean Rhyan from guard to center, putting first-round guard Jordan Morgan on the starting lineup.

However, the interior offensive line depth has been a serious issue this season for the Packers, and injuries in the playoffs forced them to finish the game with tackles Kadeem Telfort and Travis Glover playing at guard against the Eagles.
