Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers met with reporters on Friday in London, ahead of his team's matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday, and he was asked a question about the biggest controversy currently hovering over the NFL.
Rodgers was questioned about the concussion issue in the NFL, which was recently put back into the limelight due to Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's scary concussion that was suffered against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football last month.
The future Hall of Famer admitted that players need to police themselves, before offering some candid thoughts about Tua's injury the game before he suffered the concussion against the Bengals.

"I think there needs to be a closer eye on those particular plays (big hits)," said Rodgers. "Obviously watching the play with Tua, you go back to the previous week, you saw him kind of stumble after a hit. I think we all know what was going on there."
"For Tua, I understand the predicament," added Rodgers. "You want to be out there and keep playing. But we all have to think about our longterm health because of the effects of CTE have been well documented."
Rodgers went on to say that he doesn't know what else the NFL can do to stop concussions.
By the way, here's the play where Tua stumbled that Rodgers referenced.
The Dolphins called that a back injury. Obviously, we can only speculate, but it certainly appears as though Tua was experiencing some concussion symptoms there.
And Rodgers, based on his comments on Friday, agrees.
It's a tough predicament for everyone. Players often have to be protected from themselves. No one wants to come out of a game. Which is why it can be tough sometimes to get a straight answer from a hurt player.
Rodgers is right. There's not a lot else that can be done by the NFL, which is why it'll be interesting to see if they make any changes to their concussion protocol in the not-so-distant future.
