We don't know where Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play in 2023, but we know one team he won't be playing for — the San Francisco 49ers.

At least that's what Rodgers said on Thursday.

Rodgers is participating in the 2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week and he was asked by Colt Knost if he had any news to share.

"I'm not going to San Fran," responded Rodgers.

Rodgers, of course, grew up rooting for the 49ers.

But he wasn't too happy when they passed on him in the 2005 NFL Draft.

After getting passed on by the 49ers in 2005, Rodgers was asked how disappointed he was that he wouldn't be playing for San Francisco.

"Not as disappointed as the 49ers will be that they didn't draft me," said Rodgers in 2005.

It sounds like Rodgers is still carrying that grudge from nearly 20 years ago. I respect it, though. That's what makes the great ones great.

For now, it still appears that the New York Jets or the Las Vegas Raiders are the most likely trade destinations for Rodgers. It's also still possible he could return to Green Bay in 2023.
