Quarterback Jordan Love practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, his first team activity since injuring his knee twelve days ago in Brazil, during a week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Green Bay Packers franchise player is not sure yet if he will be available for Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, but he is hopeful.

"I'm going to take the week and just take it day by day and see how it feels," Love said in the locker room after practice. "I'm not going to make any decisions right now. I'm hopeful that I can get to that point where I can get in there, but we're just going to take it day by day."

Scary moment

When the play happened with less than a minute left on the clock in the first game of the season, Jordan Love was concerned that his season could be over. He had never had any serious knee ligament injuries, so he wasn't sure about what it could be.

"When it happened, it was very painful," Love detailed. "It was the most pain I've been in on the field. So, a lot of emotions. I didn't know at the moment what might have happened, what the injury actually was. It was definitely a scary moment, but it was very painful."

Now, almost two weeks later, he's feeling better, which allowed him to practice on Wednesday.

"It's definitely feeling a lot better," Love added. "Keep doing the treatment, the rehab, take it day by day."

Love was diagnosed with an MCL sprain, which is seen as a "blessing in disguise" compared to other serious knee injuries. The timeframe for recovery depends on the grade of the injury, and Love's hasn't been publicly addressed by the Packers. Initial reports indicated that the quarterback would miss three to six weeks, but it seems like he will be able to beat that timeline.

Jordan Love missed a game for the first time in the NFL since he took the job over last season for the Packers. In 2023, Love had played all 17 games of last regular season, plus two playoff games. Even with Malik Willis, though, the Packers were able to beat the Indianapolis Colts.
