Wednesday was a sad day for the NFL world and in Kansas City. According to local authorities, twenty-two people got injured, including one killed, in a shooting during the Chiefs' championship parade. Hours after the incident, the Green Bay Packers released a statement on social media.
"The Packers Family was deeply saddened today to see the senseless act of violence in Kansas City. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, the Chiefs organization and their fans."
All Chiefs players, coaches, and staff members are safe.
"Everything is fluid and the details of the investigation and situation could change moving forward," said Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas.
