The Green Bay Packers have a chance to take advantage of another NFL team and they should take it.

On Thursday, the Cleveland Browns learned that quarterback Deshaun Watson will be suspended for the first 11 games of the 2022 season.

That means the Browns badly need a starting quarterback for the first 11 games of the season.

For now, that starter is Jacoby Brissett.

I don't know about you, but I don't think rolling with an almost 30-year-old quarterback with a 14-23 career record is a wise idea for a team with playoff aspirations (even if those playoff aspirations are a bit misguided).

That's why Green Bay should offer quarterback Jordan Love to the Browns for a high draft pick. If they're desperate, the Packers could make out like bandits.

Love has been praised quite a bit this week, which should significantly raise his trade value.

I'm sure plenty of you are screaming that Green Bay shouldn't trade Love because of his progression.

But I still don't believe he's a franchise quarterback. And if he's not a franchise quarterback, there's no reason to keep him buried on the bench. Deal him, get some picks and worry about Aaron Rodgers' replacement later. When the Packers have the right guy, there will be no doubt. And right now, it's all hopes and dreams when it comes to Love.

Green Bay could possibly get more than they should right now from Cleveland. Or they can hold onto Love, watch him not be the guy that's going to take the torch from Rodgers and be left with nothing.

I guess it comes down to whether or not you believe in Jordan Love. I'm not one of those who do, so I think this would be a fairly easy decision to make.
