Aaron Rodgers will eventually exchange his Green Bay Packers helmet for one with a New York Jets logo.
At least we think he will.
Rodgers is still expected to be traded to the Jets this offseason, but no one knows when that trade will actually happen.
And that includes former Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard, Rodgers' former teammate who, if the trade with the Jets goes down, will also be his future teammate.
Lazard, who signed a four-year deal with the Jets earlier this offseason, is tired of being asked about Rodgers and when a trade might finally happen.
The former undrafted free agent took to Instagram to post a video of himself in what looked to be a club with a lighted sign that said "stop asking me about Aaron".
Lazard signed with the Jets in large part because of Rodgers' desire to play for New York. If for some reason the trade doesn't happen — and as wild as the NFL has been recently, that can't be ruled out — it's going to be an extremely awkward four seasons for Lazard with the Jets.
The overwhelming expectation, however, is still that Rodgers will land on broadway. And it should happen sooner rather than later.
Lazard is as eager as anyone to see the trade happen. Then he can relax knowing Rodgers is coming to New York. And he can stop getting asked questions about Rodgers' plans.
