The Green Bay Packers saw both David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins avoid IR to start the season, but the team will still be without both players when the team kicks off the 2022 season against the Minnesota Vikings.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, those two -along with wide receiver Allan Lazard- aren't expected to play against the NFC North rival.

It's unfortunate for all three players. Bakhtiari and Jenkins are both recovering from torn ACLs. Lazard, on the other hand, had his ankle stepped on during a recent practice and hasn't been cleared to play.

There is some good news for the Packers on the injury front, however: Tight end Robert Tonyan will play on Sunday. Whether or not he's on a pitch count remains to be seen, but at least it's not all gloom regarding the health of key Packers.
