Green Bay Packers running back A.J. Dillon was involved in an incident with a Green Bay Police Department officer on Sunday during a soccer match. The officer shoved Dillon when the third-year back ran onto the field to attempt a Lambeau Leap during a weather delay.
Dillon, along with fans, was there to watch the Bayern Munich-Manchester City soccer matchup. A video has been posted online showing the officer grabbing Dillon's shirt and subsequently shoving him before he leaps into the crowd.
"We are aware of the video showing an interaction between a GBPD Officer and AJ Dillon at the soccer match at Lambeau Field," Green Bay PD Chief Chris Davis tweeted Monday. "Appreciate Mr. Dillon's perspective and supportive comments. Our Professional Standards Division is reviewing this incident."
Dillon addressed the matter Sunday via Twitter, himself:
Dillon is coming off a career year in which he recorded over 1,100 yards from scrimmage and is expected to play an even bigger role in the Packers offense in 2022.
