Pro Football Focus writer Ben Linsey took a shot at naming the three best players on the Green Bay Packers' roster entering the 2022 season.
A couple of months ago, this list would've obviously included wide receiver Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders back in March.
With Adams in the AFC West, it left an opening for another player to land on Linsey's list.
Here are the three Packers that Linsey feels are the best three players on the roster:
- Aaron Rodgers — Quarterback
- David Bakhtiari — Offensive Lineman
- Jaire Alexander — Cornerback
Linsey said he also considered edge rusher Rashan Gary, safety Adrian Amos, defensive lineman Kenny Clark and offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins.

From PFF:
The Packers lost one of the best players in the NFL (Davante Adams) this offseason and still have a wealth of high-end talent to choose from for this exercise.
Rodgers was an easy choice as the back-to-back MVP who will have more on his shoulders without his No. 1 target in 2022. Bakhtiari and Alexander are returning after missing significant time in 2021 due to injury, but both are top-three players at their position when healthy. That’s a lot of talent to get back for a team that was the No. 1 seed in the NFC last season.
Trading Adams to the Raiders undoubtedly weakened the Packers' roster. But this is still a Super Bowl-caliber team. And let's not forget that Green Bay still has one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game in Rodgers. Adams was incredible for the Packers, but would he have been as good with Rodgers? That's debatable.
The Packers will be just fine in 2022. I don't know how the season will play out — no one knows — but I'm confident Green Bay will be one of the teams to beat when it comes playoff time.
