The Green Bay Packers are closer to have two more starters back for the Monday Night Football game against the Las Vegas Raiders. On Friday, offensive guard Jon Runyan and safety Rudy Ford were back at practice for the Packers.

As the game is on Monday, Green Bay doesn't have to put a game estimated designation for injured players before Saturday.

Runyan was listed on the injury report with ankle and groin injuries. He got injured during the loss to the Detroit Lions. If he can go on Monday, it means Royce Newman will go back to the bench, as starting left guard Elgton Jenkins is expected to play. If Runyan is not ready yet, Newman will probably move to the right side of the line.

Ford has a oblique injury. The Packers are already extremely thin at safety, and former Houston Texans starter Jonathan Owens is the primary backup.

Having these two players available at positions where the Packers don't have much flexibility would be a huge factor against the Raiders. After Monday night, the Packers will have another break on the schedule, as the team has its bye in week 6 and comes back only on October 22 to face the Denver Broncos.

Other injuries

The only starter not practicing for the Packers on Friday was off-ball linebacker De'Vondre Campbell, who suffered a high ankle sprain and has already missed one game.

Safety and special teamer Zayne Anderson didn't practice because of a hamstring issue — he is yet to play a down for the Packers since being claimed off waivers after final roster cuts.

Offensive tackle Luke Tenuta was another player alongside the rehab group. The second-year player suffered an ankle injury during the preseason. He was kept by the Packers on the initial 53-man roster and placed on the injured reserve one day later, so he could be back from IR at some point in the season. Now, as he has already missed four games, he's eligible to return. The Packers haven't designated him to be back yet.
