The Green Bay Packers began their trip to Brazil on Wednesday morning. It’s a 10-hour flight directly from Green Bay to São Paulo, so of course the team won’t practice. Before flying, the team released Wednesday’s injury report, the second of the week.
There are three topics that are important to mention compared to what the Packers had released on Tuesday.
Wednesday’s report is an estimation, since the team won’t practice.
The bad
> Tight end Tucker Kraft, who had practiced without restrictions, has been added to the injury report. He’s listed as a limited participant with a back injury.
> Edge defender Arron Mosby didn’t travel to Brazil because of a personal matter, therefore he is out for the game.
The good
> Rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd didn’t practice on Tuesday, but he would have practiced on Wednesday. He’s recovering from a hamstring injury, and the Packers slowed down his return. But the fact that he is limited gives him a shot to play on Friday.
The Packers will have a walkthrough in São Paulo on Thursday morning, and after practice the team releases the final injury report of the week, which includes injury designations for the game. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hip), wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hand), cornerback Carrington Valentine (hamstring), and running back Emanuel Wilson (hip) are all estimated as limited.
The other side
The Philadelphia Eagles won’t have off-ball linebacker Devin White on Friday. The free agent addition hurt his ankle and didn’t even travel to Brazil. Wide receiver AJ Brown and guard Landon Dickerson, who were limited on Tuesday because of rest, would practice at full capacity on Wednesday. The only other Eagles player on the injury report is cornerback Isaiah Rodgers, limited because of a hand issue.
The Eagles will practice at Corinthians Arena, the stadium where the game will happen on Friday. Meanwhile, as the road team, the Packers will have their activity at CT Joaquim Grava, Corinthians’ training center.
