Injuries have plagued the Green Bay Packers in 2023 and star running back Aaron Jones has been a part of the vicious cycle after injuring his hamstring back in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.
Jones was getting back to his old ways in terms of health, but suffered a brutal injury against the Los Angeles Chargers that has some very serious vibes.
Jones was injured late in the second quarter on a first down run. The former Pro Bowler was bent backward in an awkward manner as he tried to gain a couple of extra yards and he looked to be in serious pain as the cameras zoomed in. But, what takes things to a different level was how exasperated he looked as trainers helped him to the sidelines. He was eventually carted off the field.
And, to make things worse, undrafted free agent rookie running back Emanuel Wilson was injured a few players, leaving the Packers with just A.J. Dillon as the lone running back available in the first half.
Jones had 14 rushing yards on four carries and one catch for three yards on two targets before leaving the game. Wilson had 12 rushing yards on three carries and one reception for nine yards on two targets before he was injured.
Both Jones' and Wilson's game statuses are currently unknown. We will provide any and all updates once they're official.
Update: FOX Sports' Laura Okmin reported both players are out for the game. Jones has a knee injury and Wilson has a shoulder injury.
