The Houston Texans picked up a massive win in Week 8, completing the sweep of the Indianapolis Colts.
They now sit at 6-2 on the year and are in the driver's seat to win the AFC South, but they have their eyes on a more coveted prize: The Super Bowl.
While that will continue to be their focus, a recent mock draft by A to Z Sports NFL Draft analyst Ryan Roberts landed the Texans a dynamic offensive talent.
Michigan TE Colston Loveland lands with the Texans in a new mock draft

"The Texans are one of the tougher teams to mock for, not boasting a ton of needs. One is at tight end, where Dalton Schultz looks like he’s on his last leg. With how bad Michigan is at throwing the ball, people have forgotten how talented Loveland is."
– Ryan Roberts mocks Loveland to the Texans
Roberts had the Texans select Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 30th pick in his new 2025 mock draft. Loveland has been a dynamic player at Michigan; he's appeared in 36 games to date, recording 103 catches for 1,295 yards and 10 touchdowns.
So far this season, he has played in all seven of Michigan's games, catching 42 passes for 411 yards and tying his career-high with four touchdowns. And that's with Michigan's passing offense struggling due to no real stability at the quarterback position in 2024.
Now, I'm sure CJ Stroud's disdain for Michigan could cause some mixed feelings about drafting a tight end who would jump former Ohio State product and current Texans tight end Cade Stover. But I think the incredible success Stroud has had playing with former Michigan wide receiver Nico Collins shows he can get over that rivalry to make big plays on Sundays, even if they come from Michigan or better known to Stroud and other former Buckeyes as "the team up north."
