The Houston Texans just recently had their greatest day in Texans history. Yes, that would qualify, considering they haven't won the Super Bowl yet. They had three current and former players win the most prestigious awards possible for their status.

C.J. Stroud won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, Will Anderson won the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award, and former Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson got voted into the Hall of Fame. It was truly an amazing night.

But it could have been even better. One other person should have won an award but was robbed. Head coach DeMeco Ryans should have won the Coach of the Year award. But the Cleveland Brown's head coach, Kevin Stefanski, won it instead. Let's just say C.J. Stroud stood on business when asked to make a case for his head coach winning the award.

"So, no disrespect to last year's team," Stroud started. "You go 3-14-1, haven't been to the playoffs since 2019, when you get the roster, everyone says you have a below average roster, a rookie quarterback, rookie offensive coordinator, rookie coach, you beat the odds, go the playoffs, and win a playoff game against the guy who won head coach of the year, which I think Stefanski did a great job, he's a great coach, I think that's coach of the year worthy."

It's safe to say that C.J. Stroud came with the recipes of what people were saying before the season started. Everyone counted out Ryans and the Texans before seeing him coach a single down. Yet, they ended up being more successful than the head coach, who won the award and actually beat him in the playoffs.

I think what wowed the voters is the fact that the Browns won so many games without their starter or even backup quarterback, and that's great. However, they were already a great team. The Texans were terrible last season. There's not really much else to say. He was robbed, for sure.
