The Texans are one of the newer franchises in the NFL. In fact, they are the newest, as they were the last expansion team in 2002. So, there still isn't as much history as other teams have.

But that doesn't mean they aren't important regarding who the person is up top and all of the decisions being made.

The Houston Texans' ownership has been held down by Janic McNair, daughter of Bob McNair. Now, it has officially been moved to another family member.

On Tuesday, the NFL voted on who would be the newest franchise principal owner, and Cal McNair, Bob's son, was one of the candidates.

According to ESPN's DJ Bien-Amine, Cal McNair was unanimously voted the next principal owner. The Texans can now officially move on in terms of the ownership part of the franchise. Cal has already been involved, as he revealed the rest of the Texans' away uniforms.

Now, we have to wait and see what else he has in store.
