CJ Stroud and his Houston Texans were unable to get the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The Texans fell 24-21 and dropped to 1-2 in AFC South play. However, Stroud isn't panicking after another divisional loss.
Instead, Stroud is excited for the chance to go out and play some more ball.
After the loss, Stroud was asked if this loss will have an impact on the rest of the season.
“It's a long season, man. I don't think it hurts us like that. Of course, divisional [opponent], you want to win the game," Stroud explained. "It hurts us pretty significant, man. It's about the mindset, though. What are we going to do? Not play anymore? We're just going to tuck our tail and not play hard? No, I don't really believe in that type of mindset."
Stroud, who played college ball at Ohio State, isn't exactly used to losing. However, it certainly seems like the QB has a good head on his shoulders and understands the lumps rookies will take.
"I'm going out there every play, every game trying to win. So, I don't really think that our season is over at all. It's a long year," declared Stroud. "We have six more games to play, seven more games to play. There's a lot more football left. You can see the trajectory we're on."
Stroud will have another chance for a win next week against the hot Denver Broncos.
