The Houston Texans have had some legendary players in their franchise history, like Andre Johnson, who is now in the Hall of Fame, and J.J. Watt should be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when eligible.
One thing they have yet to have, and very well could have in 20 years or so, is a legendary quarterback. For a few seasons, they have had some good guys, like C.J. Stroud and Deshaun Watson. However, they have had some very bad quarterbacks, which sometimes has been why they lost some of the games they did.
One of their all-time great players kept it real about his career and how it could have been better had he had a great QB.
One of the many terrible aggregators we have on Twitter put together some stats of two players, and Deandre Hopkins was one of them. He quoted that tweet perfectly.
"Love all the 20 QBs I played with, but if I had a Hall of Fame QB most of my career… let me shut up."
And, really, he is right. However, I'd rebuttal this: He had the chance to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs last season and play with Patrick Mahomes, but he declined. Instead, he chose to play with Will Levis and Ryan Tannehill.
Some of it has been his own doing. Had he stayed on the Texans, who knows, he could be playing with C.J. Stroud right now.
