We have finally made it to the 2023 NFL Draft. In just 24 hours, we will have answers to all of the rumors and questions that have been flying around.

The Houston Texans currently have the No. 2 and No. 12 pick in the first round. There has been much discourse among media pundits and fans about which quarterback, if any, the Texans are interested in.

One of these top QB prospects has unexpectedly caught some negative press leading up to the draft after certain test results were released.

The S2 Cognition test is a new test that replaces the Wonderlic test. The test is designed to evaluate the decision-making and football IQ of quarterbacks. Bryce Young, widely expected to go first overall, scored the highest on the test in this class.

CJ Stroud, long rumored to be a Texan target, scored the lowest with an 18% (out of 100). The revelation about Stroud's poor performance on the test has some wondering whether he could fall on draft night.

At a pre-draft event, Stroud was asked about the test results.

"I'm not a test taker, I play football," declared Stroud. "At the end of the day, man, I don't got nothing to prove to nobody. I'm not going to sit here and explain how I process football. The people who are making the picks know what I can do. That's all that matters to me," said Stroud.

The star QB is not concerned about the lackluster test results. While this may impact Stroud's status with some teams, it is unlikely to cause a dramatic fall. In a QB class that is not considered especially strong, teams will likely be more forgiving of something like poor test results.

Stroud, along with Anthony Richardson and Will Levis, are likely competing to be the second QB selected. Stroud-to-Houston has been one of the more popular mock draft scenarios, so it is interesting to see if these results impact Houston's interest.

Either way, we are 24 hours away from having our answer.
