JJ Watt recently retired after 12 years of Hall of Fame-worthy production.
A prototypical "football guy," it seems that Watt could not stay away from the game for long. While Watt has shut down rumors of his return to the field, he did not rule out returning in another capacity.
According to the latest reports, Watt has already found a gig to occupy his time during the season.
Around the NFL writer Kevin Patra reported that Watt is joining CBS Sports as an NFL studio analyst.
Watt left Twitter confused by originally announcing that he "got a job at CVS," leading people to ponder why the former All-Pro wanted to work for a drug store.
Shortly thereafter, Watt posted a formal announcement clarifying that he is actually beginning a job at CBS Sports.
“A little tip for those starting a new job, don’t screw up the announcement,” declared Watt. “That’s not a good way to start your first day on the job. Especially if that job is at a global network with millions, millions of viewers, hundreds of Emmys. You just want to start off on a better foot. I will be working at C-B-S this fall.”
Watt will join James Brown, Bill Cowher, Boomer Esiason, Phil Simms, and Nate Burleson in the studio on Sundays.
It was already announced that Watt will be inducted into the Texans Ring of Honor later this season. Clearly Watt never intended on being completely away from the game.
