Pro Football Focus recently released a ranking of the best offensive tackle pairings in the NFL.
There weren't many surprises, as the Eagles, Vikings, Lions, and Ravens were at the top. However, the Texans were not included and many might believe they should have been.
Count star left tackle Laremy Tunsil as one of the people who felt slightly disrespected.
Tunsil quoted PFF's tweet with several question marks, noting his confusion by not being included.
Tunsil has long been of the most reliable tackles in the league, earning three Pro Bowl bids along the way. In 2022, the veteran bookend earned an incredible 80.0 grade from PFF and allowed just one sack all season.
Tunsil's running mate is right tackle Tytus Howard. While Howard has not reached the elite heights that Tunsil has, he has blossomed into a solid starter in his own right.
Howard earned the best PFF grade of his career in 2022 with a 67.9. The former Alabama State Hornet has steadily improved each season in the NFL after being drafted in the first round in 2019. Howard was seen as a reach at the time, but has steadily adjusted to the NFL level.
Tunsil is under contract until 2027 and Howard is entering a contract year. If Howard has another solid season, the Texans could be looking to lock him down as well. Houston could potentially be set at the tackle positions for the forseeable future.
