It's been a rough past month for the Houston Texans, who have lost three of their last five matchups. But on the bright side, they pulled out the win in Week 13 over the Jacksonville Jaguars, so they are heading into their bye in Week 14 on a high note. The Texans are currently slated as […]
It's been a rough past month for the Houston Texans, who have lost three of their last five matchups.
But on the bright side, they pulled out the win in Week 13 over the Jacksonville Jaguars, so they are heading into their bye in Week 14 on a high note.
The Texans are currently slated as the fourth seed in the AFC playoff picture and atop the AFC South standings with an 8-5 record. With them on bye, they won't be able to move up the standings this week, but multiple games they have their eyes on can help improve their odds of not just clinching the playoffs but being as high of a seed as possible.

Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers
The first game to keep your eyes on In Week 14 is the AFC North battle between the Browns and the Steelers. The Steelers sit one spot above the Texans in the AFC standings with a 9-3 record so fans of the Texans should be rooting for the Browns to pull off the upset. It may sound unlikely that the Browns can accomplish this, given that they have had a rough season to date with a lackluster 3-9 record. But these two teams played each other in Week 12, and the Browns left with a 24-19 victory.
Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Rams
Another game to watch this week is the Bills vs. Rams. Like the Steelers, the Bills are currently ahead of the Texans in the AFC playoff picture with an impressive 10-2 record. While the Bills are currently two games ahead of the Texans, fans should still root for the Rams in Week 14. The Texans defeated the Bills earlier this season in Week 5, so if the two teams ended the year with the same record, the Texans would receive the higher seed.
Multiple Houston Texans players performing well in the early stages of NFL Pro Bowl voting
It's been an up-and-down year for the Houston Texans, and the last month did not go exactly according to plan. However, they still have a strong hold on the AFC South, and their roster is still filled with talent on both sides of the ball. The NFL world has taken notice of the team's talent, […]
