'They are the reason we win and lose' – Texans QB C.J. Stroud accidentally slips up to the media after win over Cowboys

The Houston Texans got a huge win on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. And, their social media team made sure to let Cowboys fans know about it, too. This was a big in-state rivalry, even though they don't play each other often.
But, because of how bad the Cowboys are, and because the Texans had lost their previous two games against the New York Jets and the Detroit Lions. Now at 7-4 on the year, the vibes feel a bit better with this team. Of course, it helps that a second-half touchdown was finally scored for this team, too.
And, the vibes are high because of how the offensive line played, too. Usually, it's bad, and C.J. Stroud is fighting for his life. This time, it's a bit different. They were good, despite what Stroud will tell you after the game.
Yes, you read that right, he mistakenly said the offense is the reason they lose games sometimes. Now, it was a slip-up, but man was it funny.
"O-line and D-line are the reason why we win and lose. Excuse me, they are not the reason why we lose, they're the reason why we WIN. Take that off the record," Stroud said laughing. "Slip up. They are the reason why we win."
Now, he's not wrong, the offensive line has pretty much been the reason they have lost some games. It's a group effort, but the majority of the issues have been because of the poor play by the offensive line. But also, they played so well against the Cowboys that they are the reason they won. So, yeah, he's not lying.
Now, is that something the quarterback should say? No, he didn't mean to say it and probably meant nothing by it. Stroud is one of the best leaders in the entire NFL, especially one of the best on the Texans. He knows what he is doing, and he would never intentionally throw his team under the bus.
The Texans will play the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Miami Dolphins next before facing some really good teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
