This offense has shown to get better as the year has gone on. You just don't see that from a rookie head coach, offensive coordinator, or rookie quarterback. I mean, they have a rookie QB making NFL history. Yet, with all of the rookies on their staff and roster, they still beat down the No. 1 defense in the NFL and virtually shut down Myles Garrett, the potential Defensive Player of the Year, who really didn't get anywhere near C.J. Stroud, thanks to the matchup advantage by Laremy Tunsil.
The one play that may stick out, and maybe the most explosive play of the game, was the 76-yard screenplay that turned into a touchdown. Tight end Brevin Jordan scored that play. Yes, that was a tight end. Jordan hasn't had maybe the year he would have liked, and it hasn't been an easy one with tight end Dalton Schultz playing so well this year, but that was a huge play.
It was a play that really broke the game open for the Texans, as they were already up 17-14 at that point.
"Brevin has been special all year, but to see the catch and the run after the catch," DeMeco Ryans said to reporters after the game. "Man, he turned the wheels on. He took off, and I think everyone was running down the sideline with him, and no play bigger in his career than that one."
Jordan made such a big play and ran so fast that after the game, he posted on his Instagram story that the NFL wanted to randomly drug test him. Literally following the game. Not the next day.
It's funny, and Jordan made a joke about it, too, saying he ran too fast. It was still a huge moment in the game and a huge moment for a guy who has been with the Texans for the last three years through some pretty tough ones, too.
Texans’ C.J. Stroud makes NFL history in playoff win vs. Browns
The Houston Texans have one of the greatest rookie QBs ever.
