The Houston Texans took more than a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. They lost three key players in safety Jimmie Ward, offensive lineman Shaq Mason, who we are still awaiting an injury update on for his long-term health, and they lost Tank Dell, who will likely be out for the rest of the season.

Dell was injured in what was somehow still a touchdown catch by him. He was hit by teammate Jared Wayne and suffered a pretty scary injury to his leg. Details on the exact injury have still not been released yet.

Texans HC DeMeco Ryans providing update on Tank Dell

After the game, head coach DeMeco Ryans went to the podium immediately shared some thoughts on the situation, and gave an update with as much of the information that he had been fed.

"Quick update on Tank [Dell], he had a significant knee injury, and will be staying here in Kansas City overnight for further evaluations, and we will get an update on him tomorrow. Just all of our thoughts and prayers are with Tank right now. You guys can see what he means to our entire team. It hurt, it hurts to see him go down like that. He was having a fantastic game. He was playing really well for us in a really good spot. We want to keep him in our thoughts and prayers right now."

Ryans also gave a small update on the other injuries.

"Yeah we lost Shaq there with a knee injury, Jimmie Ward with a foot. Those are two guys who had to leave the game and we will see where they are the next couple of days."

The Texans will play the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans to finish the season before their first playoff game.
