If you're a Houston Texans fan, you remember the good days of Arian Foster, as he torched the Indianapolis Colts every single time they played each other. If you're a Colts fan, you try not to remember those games. But, neither side can dispute how good Foster was during his prime. The Texans hadn't had a running back like that in some time, and now they do.

They traded for Joe Mixon this offseason from the Cincinnati Bengals, as they wanted to try and optimize having a quarterback like C.J. Stroud on a rookie contract as much as possible, putting pieces all around him. They have done that, also trading for Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills.

While many have been disappointed in Mixon's availability this season, as he has missed a few games already, when he does play he has been amazing. In fact, two of his best games so far have both been against the Colts. And, he's starting to resemble what we used to see in Foster against the Colts.

Arian Foster vs. Colts in his career as a Texan

Here are some of the numbers Foster used to do against the Colts:

Arian Foster only played and finished eight total games against the Colts. In those games, he finished with a total of 1,004 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. That's 125 rush yards per game and one touchdown per game.

He also finished a game with 231 rush yards and three touchdowns, and two other games where he got it done in the passing game as well. In one game he had 65 receiving yards, and in another, he had 77. He never had a game against the Colts with fewer than 90 scrimmage yards.

He was, as they say, a Colts killer.

Joe Mixon vs. the Colts as a Texas

So far for Mixon, he has been dominating the Colts through two games.

In Week 1, Mixon had 159 rush yards, a rushing touchdown, and 20 receiving yards. This week, so far, as I write this after his ferocious TD run, he has been great, with nine carries for 32 yards a rushing touchdown, and three catches for 28 yards, all in the first half. And, there are two minutes left in the half.

He's becoming the Colts' killer.
