The Houston Texans are one of the teams everyone is watching to see what they do in free agency. They have a ton of money, a quarterback on his rookie contract, and won a playoff game in the first year of the rebuild with their new head coach.

The future is bright. That is why this offseason is so very important.

The Texans need to bolster their defense, and they are expected to do that along with some additions on the offense. However, we really don't know exactly what they will do.

We have no clue which positions they will target in free agency and not in the draft or vice versa. We can expect them to make a splash, though, especially after all of the rumblings of big named free agents having interest in joining the Texans.

First, Saquon Barkley showed interest. Now, it's the biggest defensive free agent available.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, the Texans and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins are mutually interested.

If the Texans were to land a guy like Wilkins, it would drastically change their defense and make them a contender overall. He can play the run and the pass at a very high level. However, it would come at a price.

According to A to Z Sports' Free Agency Projections, a contract could look like: 4 yrs, $92M, $23M APY, $50M GTD.

The Texans have $63 million in cap space available, according to Spotrac. So, they can definitely make some moves. This one would put them on the map as one of the top teams.
