In December of 2023, Dylan Horton, a Houston native and a promising player for the Houston Texans, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Despite his rookie status, he had already made a significant impact, playing in 10 games after being drafted in the fourth round last season. His joy at being drafted to his hometown team was palpable.
In March, he announced that he had been diagnosed. He immediately entered treatment, and the Texans supported him every step of the way.
In May, he announced that he had entered remission. He posted a nice video on his Instagram of him ringing the bell after being told he was cancer-free.
General manager Nick Caserio recently gave a powerful update on Horton and his status as the 2024 season approaches.
"Starting to get his conditioning back," Caserio said on the Jim Rome show of Horton and his workouts. "Hopefully, he will put himself in a position where he can make a contribution to our team this season."
Horton is progressing well, and it seems like he could be back on the field soon. You would love to hear this update.
