The Houston Texans have made moves in free agency that have solidified their progression this offseason, but one draft trade could have fans scratching their heads in confusion.

Per NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Minnesota Vikings traded picks Nos. 42 (second round), 188 (sixth round), and a 2025 second-rounder to the Houston Texans for the 23rd overall pick and the 232nd overall pick (sixth round) in 2024.

So, after the most recent trade, what could draft weekend look like for the Texans? What rounds will we be seeing them draft in as things currently stand?

**Please note picks Nos. 97-on have all been bumped down a spot due to the NFL awarding the Cincinnati Bengals a third-round compensatory pick (No. 97 overall) after initially denying them one. This means that the team originally picking at No. 97 now picks at No. 98, the original No. 98 is now No. 99, and so on and so forth.**

Texans' official picks in the 2024 NFL Draft

Round 2, pick 42
Round 2, pick 59
Round 3, pick 86
Round 4, pick 123
Round 4, pick 127
Round 5, pick 188
Round 7, pick 248

The Houston Texans did not have a fifth-round pick before the trade, and now they do. This trade gives the Texans more chances to grab some of the top talent, which is getting pushed down into the later rounds because teams are targeting quarterbacks, receivers, and OTs earlier in the draft.
