A lot of people bashed C.J. Stroud's character and intelligence during the pre-draft process. But the Houston Texans saw that special thing in him. They saw that he was not only a great dude but had the potential to be an amazing quarterback.

After a playoff win over the Cleveland Browns, Stroud has not only made NFL history by being the young QB ever to win a playoff game but also has the second-most passing yards ever by a rookie through the regular and postseason. And let's not forget that crazy passer rating he had, too.

Now, nearly a year later, after people doubted him, he is shocking everyone in the world but the Houston Texans. Well, there are other people in the league he isn't shocking – guys who knew he would do this. One of those guys is Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who knew back in Week 1 when the two teams played one another that Stroud was special.

Here is what Chris Berman of ESPN said on the subject:

"Well, the poise that they showed, and we mentioned it against the Colts in the playoff game last week, was on the road. And they may end up playing Baltimore," Berman told Booger McFarland on Saturday. "We'll see, we don't know, it's Saturday.

"They [Texans] lost to them in the first game of the season in Baltimore. I talked to him [Ravens HC John Harbaugh] later on. I went, 'So, how's their quarterback?' Before he even let me finish, he goes, 'Oh, wow. I think they have something.' That was week one. They have something, don't they?"

That is some of the best praise you can get when you think about how long Harbaugh has been in the league and all of the talent he has seen. And, the fact that he has won a Super Bowl and now has coached a potential two-time MVP at QB in Lamar Jackson.

So, it's safe to say he has seen a lot and likely knows when he sees something special. Stroud is just that. But this also means the Ravens are probably prepared for Stroud in case the two teams play one another. Stroud won't shock anyone anymore, especially not the Ravens. So, the Texans have to be ready if that's the matchup, and they have to be ready if it's anyone else.
