The Houston Texans have not made the moves we thought they would in 2024 free agency, but they have made some moves that were very much needed.

They missed on defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and a few other guys like Saquon Barkley but have still managed to get some good players in free agency.

They signed Jeff Okudah in hopes he could be that second cornerback, and now they have made one more signing on the defensive side of the ball.

According to Ari Meirov, the Texans are signing former Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts pass rusher Denico Autry.

While Autry is not a name like Wilkins, he is an upgrade over Sheldon Rankins, who the Texans had last season, and is also a free agent. The Texans still have a ton of work to do in terms of their roster, but getting Autry on a two-year deal worth $10 million.

I expect the Texans will still draft a defensive tackle, just not with pick no. 23. Now, maybe they will go after a wide receiver.
