In Week 13, the Houston Texans narrowly beat their divisional rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The main talking point surrounding the game has been Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair's late hit on Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, which ended both players' games for different reasons.

And it looks like Al-Shaair's ejection in Week 13 won't be the only punishment he receives.

NFL expected to suspend Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair after late hit on Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence

Late in the second quarter, Jaguars quarterback Lawrence scrambled on second and seven, and he decided to give himself up with a standard slide just ahead of the first-down marker. What wasn't standard, though, was the Texans LB launching into Lawrence, who was fully on the ground and made contact with the quarterback's helmet.

The hit led to Lawrence staying on the ground while a massive brawl broke out on the field. The hit led Lawrence to be carted to the locker room, and quickly, after being ruled out for the game with a concussion. Lawrence is now in the league's concussion protocol and will have to clear it before he can return to live game action.

While no ruling has been officially announced, ESPN's Adam Schefter essentially says it's not a question of whether Al-Shaair will be suspended but of how long. So now the Texans and Al-Shaair must wait to see the official ruling from the NFL. But it looks like he will be forced to miss time, and I'd expect a big fine to come his way when they are announced later this week.
