The Houston Texans used to be a team that went after other team's coordinators for interviews for their head coaching jobs. I mean, the current head coach, DeMeco Ryans, was the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator.

Now, it's the other way around.

After a successful season in 2023, the Houston Texans are in the playoffs for the first time since 2019. A huge reason why is because of how good their offense has been. Sure, C.J. Stroud is great and already a top quarterback in this league, but let's give first-time coordinator Bobby Slowik some recognition, too.

He has done so well that he is drawing interest from the Texans' biggest rival – the Tennessee Titans.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Tennessee Titans have put in an interview request to interview Slowik for their vacant head coaching job, as they just fired Mike Vrabel a few days ago.

Slowik would make a great head coach, but this feels like a move where the Titans just want to piss off the Texans. Sure, they are doing their due diligence, but these two franchises hate one another.
