There hasn't been a team that has done more this offseason than the Houston Texans have. They are taking advantage of the rookie contracts superstar quarterback C.J. Stroud is on, as they should, and they are probably taking better advantage of it than anyone we have seen in quite some time.
The Texans added Danielle Hunter at the edge rusher position after losing Jonathan Greenard. Then, they added several great defensive tackle pieces that flew under the radar, and the same can be said for the cornerback position. Then, they traded for a top-10 receiver in the league, Stefon Diggs, which changed everything.
The Texans got Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick, and a 2025 fifth-round pick for a 2025 second-round pick being sent to the Buffalo Bills. Not only have the Texans made the moves necessary to get where they need to go, but they have also done it while preserving their draft capital and actually adding to the big stack they already had for this upcoming draft. They had eight picks this year, and now they have nine.
