Super Wild Card Weekend is almost over, and, things are clear enough to the point where the Houston Texans know the date and time of their next playoff game.
The NFL released tentative matchups, for the most part, but firm dates and times for the Divisional Round after the Detroit Lions beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. And, the Texans will hit the road to take on either the Baltimore Ravens or Kansas City Chiefs in hopes of winning another postseason matchup.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, January 20 at 4:30pm ET. ESPN/ABC, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes will broadcast the game.
Texans will likely take on the Ravens
Never count out Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers, especially considering the crazy weather we've seen in Buffalo over the last couple of days. However, it's unlikely they beat the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.
Therefore, Houston will likely travel to Baltimore in Round 2. If the Steelers end up winning the game, the Texans will travel to take on the Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium.
Speaking of tall tasks: Lamar Jackson and co. are the best team in football. It's not just a one-sided affair, either. All three phases of the team -offense, defense, and special teams- are among the league's best in their respective categories and the Ravens have absolutely trounced teams when they play in the Charm City.
The Ravens already beat the Texans in Baltimore, by two scores, back in Week 1, but that was obviously a way different team, then. Both teams were, if we're being honest. That's not all though: They beat the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, and Miami Dolphins by a combined score of 131-28 over three games.
And, it wasn't at home, but Baltimore dominated the San Francisco 49ers, 33-19, in Levi's Stadium.
The Ravens' 2023 résumé is spectacular and it's easy to see why many believe they're the NFL's best team. Especially with Jackson likely taking home his second MVP award.
But, like any team, they can be beaten. And, it'll be the ultimate feather in C.J. Stroud and co.'s cap (for now), if the Texans pull it off.
