The Houston Texans made a crazy decision during the 2023 NFL Draft that will forever change the way this franchise operates and is viewed. That decision is going to end up being a key reason the Texans are playoff competitors for years to come.

They traded up to get one of the best players in the draft and would make their picks back to back at pick No. 2 overall and pick No. 3 overall. Doing that, they gave up their first-round pick from this last draft, but, it seems like that wouldn't have been much of a factor as many thought, anyways.

Sure, the Texans have C.J. Stroud, who is going into his second season and is already one of the best quarterbacks and players in the league. He is a top-five quarterback, and can still get so much better. But, the league and national media are not talking about Will Anderson Jr. enough. Sure, he started slow, but at the end of his rookie season, he was a monster.

There is a reason he won the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. Will Anderson has crazy potential, and from everything we have seen, he is only going to get better.

After working out with Myles Garrett this offseason, Anderson has put himself in amazing shape. Not to mention, that's one of the best defensive players of the last decade he is working out with him. When his video of him working out was posted recently, it was clear that the rest of the NFL should be scared of what Anderson could have in store.

His most recent workout video shows Anderson just attacking every rep like a madman. He is relentless, and the way these offseason videos are going reminds me a lot of Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders. He is throwing the dummy bag and hitting it hard. The video makes him look scary.

But, hey, that's what they want, and maybe it sends a message to the NFL that he is coming for it all in 2024.
