2025 7 round Jaguars mock draft has the team giving Brian Thomas Jr. a new partner in crime

The 2024 season fell off the rails for the Jacksonville Jaguars early on, and they weren't able to salvage it. Now, they sit at 3-11 and, according to Tankathon, would own the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft if the season ended today. The 2024 season fell off the rails for the Jacksonville Jaguars early on, and they weren't able to salvage it.

Now, they sit at 3-11 and, according to Tankathon, would own the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft if the season ended today. While they may have three games remaining, the fanbase seems to have already shifted its focus to the 2025 NFL Draft.

So, how about our first seven-round Jaguars mock draft of the year? With the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select…

Round 1:

4. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The Jaguars can go in multiple directions, but at four, I don't think they should pass up an elite CB 1 like Will Johnson. If Johnson wasn't forced to miss the majority of this season with an injury, we are probably talking about him as the best overall player in this entire draft class. And should be able to come in and make an immediate impact at one of the Jaguars' weakest positions.

Round 2:

35. Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

With their second pick, I have the Jaguars grabbing a solid partner in crime opportunity of 2024 first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. Christian Kirk is coming off a season-ending injury, and he isn't getting younger. So, finding a replacement on a rookie contract might be the best route forward for the Jaguars. Elic Ayomanor, out of Stanford, has a long frame and knows how to use it. He would be a solid compliment to the speedy Thomas for 2025.

Round 3:

Ohio State Buckeyes cornerback Denzel Burke (10) celebrates a tackle during the NCAA football game against the Michigan Wolverines at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. Michigan won 13-10.

71. Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

The Jaguars have to address the offensive line this offseason, so grabbing a tackle in the third round shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Clemson's Blake Miller is coming off the best season of his career, where he didn't allow a single sack in 531 pass-blocking snaps.

92. Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State

This pick is the opposite of Miller, with Denzel Burke coming off a bit of a disappointing season at Ohio State. Many projected Burke as a first or second-rounder last year, and he went into the 2024 season with first-round aspirations for the 2025 NFL Draft. That doesn't seem to be in the cards anymore, but the Jaguars could walk away with a steal if they can get him back to the player he showed in 2023.

Round 4:

107. Seth McLaughlin, C, Ohio State

Another offensive lineman and Ohio State Buckeye for the Jaguars, with them landing center Seth McLaughlin. Before his injury, he was viewed as the consensus top center in the class. He likely won't be ready for training camp, so the Jaguars would have to wait to see him take the field, but he truly could develop into their long-term starter at center and a dang good one at that.

Round 5:

129. Riley Leonard, QB, Notre Dame

Don't worry—this quarterback selection isn't meant to push Trevor Lawrence for a starting job. It's actually meant to prepare the team in case they lose backup Mac Jones this offseason. Drafting the backup behind Lawrence could save the team money, and this class has multiple intriguing options to consider on day three. I went with Notre Dame's Riley Leonard, who I think has a skill set that would allow the offense to run a similar system in case Lawrence has to miss any time next season.

142. Clay Webb, G, Jacksonville State

The Jaguars stay close to home with this pick by grabbing Jacksonville State guard Clay Webbs. He has only allowed one sack in each of his three college seasons and has a ton of starting experience to help him compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Trade:
Jaguars send picks 179, 193, and 219 to the Miami Dolphins for pick 158

158. Howard Cross III, DT, Notre Dame

I have the Jaguars grabbing Howard Cross III out of Notre Dame. Cross is an undersized defensive tackle but makes up for it with his next-level motor. Due to his size, some teams will not consider him, but I think he has the skills to make it to the pro level. So, I have the Jaguars packaging their final three picks to land an additional fifth-rounder and snag a DT who I think has the talent to develop into a starter.
