The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the 2024 season with aspirations of retaking the top spot in the AFC South and punching their ticket back to the playoffs.
Unfortunately, their late-season collapse in 2023 rolled into this season, and they never appeared to be on pace for a playoff birth. They finished the year with a 4-13 record and now hold the fifth pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
With so much talent on this roster, acing this offseason could put them back in the conversation for a playoff spot and potentially an AFC South crown much faster than people realize. In a new A to Z Sports mock draft, the team uses the fifth pick on a potential cornerstone player on the defensive side of the ball.
Jaguars land Michigan star DT Mason Graham in a new 2025 NFL mock draft

"Jacksonville has so many needs that it makes sense to go best player available. Mason Graham is an elite defensive tackle prospect and would shore up the interior of their defensive line for years to come. He's a franchise cornerstone type player."
– New A to Z Sports mock draft
Michigan's Mason Graham has been a highly anticipated defensive tackle prospect around the NFL for quite some time. He's a dynamic talent who played a pivotal role in leading their defense and helped the team win a national championship in 2023. And even during the school's rough 2024 season, Graham was one of the clear, bright spots.
The Jaguars tried the veteran route at DT this season by acquiring Arik Armstead from the San Francisco 49ers this offseason. But the two sides didn't look like a good fit together at any point in 2024. Graham could come in on day one and be a starter for the Jaguars. His ability in the run game would show up immediately, and he has plenty of upside to develop as a pass rusher at that next level.
