The Jacksonville Jaguars' upset attempt in Week 13 fell short, with them losing a close one to their AFC South rivals, the Houston Texans.

The biggest storyline from the game has by far been the late hit from Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair, which took QB Trevor Lawrence out of the game. And, with the news of him being placed on the IR, was the last play of his season.

Jaguars tight end Evan Engram retaliated on the field by hitting Al-Shaair from behind to come to the defense of his QB. Many applauded Engram for being the ultimate teammate for the action, but he is now being fined by the NFL.

Evan Engram's retaliation led to his ejection from the game, and now the NFL has fined him $11,255.00 for his late hit on Al-Shaair, which the league deemed "Unnecessary Roughness."

The hit was definitely late; I don't think anyone will argue that, but the term "unnecessary" certainly feels debatable. Al-Shaair's hit has been viewed as dirty by most of the league at this point. And if you put yourself in the perspective of a teammate, I personally can't fault Engram for coming to the defense of his QB. Engram showed that he has his teammates' back no matter what on this play. And though it cost him $11,255.00 this time, I have the feeling he would do it all over again.
