The Jacksonville Jaguars are in search of a new defensive coordinator, and most of their defensive staff after head coach Doug Pederson let go of defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell.

This last season, the defense was not the best. It had all of the players it needed to be great, as we have seen at times this season, but they had too many times of playing bad. Something needed to be done.

The Jaguars had already started their search, though, and tried to interview a defensive coordinator for the job, but they were unfortunately blocked.

According to Michael Rothstein of ESPN, the Atlanta Falcons blocked their defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen from interviewing for the open Jaguars DC job.

Now, the Jaguars must continue to look elsewhere for the time being.
