The Jacksonville Jaguars have a ton of work to do in the 2025 NFL Draft to fill out their roster and give quarterback Trevor Lawrence a chance to win football games. Both sides of the ball need work, and both sides will get work.

The Jaguars have ten picks in the upcoming draft, and all ten of those picks will be used in some way, whether it's a player being drafted with all ten, or whether they will be using some of those picks to trade up. Either way, expect a lot of roster building. And, the Jaguars need their roster to be built out.

Under this new regime, we don't know what to expect with the draft, especially regarding the types of players they like to draft, and the tendencies they have in the draft. Sure, we can look back at what both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams have done in the past when both Liam Coen and James Gladstone were there. However, this is both of their first time doing this as the lead decision makers.

What we do know is what this team needs, and we can go off of that to kind of infer what players they should target on each day. And, there are a few players that are perfect fits for what the Jaguars need. In fact, PFF provided the Jaguars with the answers to the test when it comes to getting a perfect Day 2 need.

Prospect to target: WR Savion Williams, TCU After sending off their stable of pass catchers in free agency, the Jaguars need a complementary component to the passing game to pair with Brian Thomas Jr. Williams is a big-bodied target who possesses strong hands and consistency to finish contested catches (88.9% contested-catch rate in 2024). – PFF

Savion Williams, a 6’5”, 225-pound wide receiver for TCU, is a versatile athlete from Marshall, Texas, who switched from high school quarterback to receiver, so he kind of knows how to read defenses better than your average WR.

He led TCU with 573 receiving yards in 2023 and earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2024. With a 4.48 40-yard dash and strong physical presence, he’s projected as a mid-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, he will be available for the Jaguars on Day 2 should they go the route of getting another weapon for quarterback Trevor Lawrence to throw to.

Williams is still a raw prospect, but the Jaguars don't need a WR1; they have that in Brian Thomas. Getting a guy who can develop into a great WR2 would be ideal.
