The Jacksonville Jaguars got busy this week adding talent to the trenches by signing a couple of veterans to the roster. We're perhaps in the last wave of free agency prior to the NFL Draft and while most signs feature "small-name" players, they're highly important nevertheless.

Per KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, the Jaguars signed tackle Josh Wells and guard Chandler Brewer.

Wells is no stranger to Jacksonville as it's where he started his career back in 2014. He stuck around for four seasons before going to another Florida team: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Whether it's the heat, personal stuff, or just the way the dominoes have fallen, Wells is staying in the state once again as he reunites with the Jaguars. Wells started seven games for the Buccaneers last year as the team navigated multiple injuries.

Although Wells' arrival isn't expected to shake up the starting lineup, he could provide value as a swing tackle. Throughout his career, he's played 808 snaps at left tackle and 678 at right tackle, per Pro Football Focus.

The former undrafted free agent out of James Madison has 24 starts under his belt.

With Walker Little set to be promoted to right tackle, the Jaguars might have a leading candidate for the swing tackle job in Wells. Although he won't be the sexiest of additions, it's one that the front office had to make.

As for Brewer, he arrives at Jacksonville with just four NFL starts in his career. He played 228 snaps at right guard for the Los Angeles Rams last year.

Ultimately, these signings shouldn't deter the Jaguars from seeking more offensive line help in the upcoming Draft. But it does give them some breathing room to approach things the best way that you can in April: Taking the best player available at every possible turn.
