The Jacksonville Jaguars took more than one loss after losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football at home. They also lost because, well, they walked away with several key injuries, including one to franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is in concussion protocol.
The next day after the game, Doug Pederson was asked for an update on Lawrence, and he gave one. Well, kind of.
"I am not at liberty to speculate at this moment," Pederson said on Monday when asked for an update on Lawrence. "I think it was the scramble play, maybe the last one he got hit on, potentially. It's hard to say, but I continued to play the rest of the game. He self-disclosed after the game to our doctors and trainers."
Lawrence went 25/43 for 264 yards, one touchdown, and two lost fumbles. He had a 65-yard touchdown completion to Jamal Agnew, which was the longest touchdown completion of his career.
The Jaguars also walked away with key injuries to Zay Jones, who is dealing with a hamstring. Expect to see them both on Wednesday's issue of the injury report as they gear up for Tampa Bay.
