Free agency is rolling around and the Jaguars will have to make some moves. They need to get better as a team, and they also will have to let some guys walk to save some money based on production from last season.

Of course, if there are guys that are heading towards free agency that should be re-signed, they should do that if necessary, but there are some that shouldn't be re-signed, like offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor.

And I'm not the only person who thinks he won't re-sign. Pro Football Focus released an article predicting free agents that would leave for another team, and Taylor made that list. They seem to think he will be a Denver Bronco next season.

Taylor is a pending free agent generating a lot of buzz around the league, which is understandable considering he’ll be just 25 years old through the first two months of the 2023 season and his 73.6 pass-blocking grade on true pass sets over the past two seasons ranks eighth among right tackles.

New Broncos head coach Sean Payton always prioritized a stout offensive line in New Orleans, notably making Ryan Ramczyk the highest-paid right tackle in the NFL before taking his hiatus. While Denver may not make a huge splash in free agency given quarterback Russell Wilson’s contract and their lack of draft capital to add cheaper contracts, if they did, a player like Taylor would probably be a target.

Taylor has started every game for the Jaguars for the last four seasons, so he is durable, I'll give him that. However, he has also given up a total of 28 sacks over the last four seasons. That's not good at all.

If I'm the Jaguars, I think it's time to move on from Taylor and maybe find the next offensive tackle through the draft.
